I just joined more writing communities. Insanity, thy name is Elizabeth.

I never realized how unhealthy my diet is until now. I took an assessment at The World's Healthiest Foods, and if nutrients were hair, I'd be a naked mole rat. I exaggerate slightly, but still. At least half of them listed depression as a sign of deficiency. Not that I expect nutrition to solve all my problems, but it would help. I am now officially watch my calories and sodium intake. I'm going to start planning my meals, too.

Going to church tomorrow. Forcing myself to, actually. I can't keep isolating myself, even if it's what I feel like doing. It's just not healthy.

Oh yeah, I forgot to do that water dissolving test on One A Day Women's. I don't know if I'd buy it again, though. I just now took a look at the ingredients and it has those stupid dyes in it. Does everything have to have poison in it? Gah!

Eventually, I'm going organic and try to get all my nutrients from food. I'm sure it's possible, as supplements are relatively new when put into perspective of history. Might be a tad more expensive, but just think at what I could save on medical care.

If you try with food, try to get it from a natural food store, or a local supplier (farmers market). Produce you get from big grocery stores was picked early and ripened in a truck, so a lot of the nutrients don't have a chance to develop.

I've been taking good vitamins for a couple of years steady now, and I don't get sick often. (that's saying a lot, since I work in a clinic. Seems like every other patient of ours has come in this year with the flu.)
