My response: to hell with this idea. I mean, seriously, where else could it come from? A bunch of religious conservatives, who most likely have fat paychecks, want to continue living in their nice, Christian bubble, decide the best way to do this is to move to my home and make the Christian standard of living law. This isn't Bill & Ted's Excellent Adventure, so I don't appreciate anyone trying to send me back in time. I don't want the state in which I live to be the land of the self-righteous or the home of the Pharisaical.

*taps glass* Hello CE people! Haven't you learned anything from all your time of Bible study? No one will be justified by their good deeds (Romans 3:20), but by grace through faith. (Ephesians 2:8-9) "For all who rely on works of the law are under a curse; for it is written, 'Cursed be everyone who does not abide by all things written in the Book of the Law, and do them.' Now it is evident that no one is justified before God by the law, for 'The righteous shall live by faith.'" (Galatians 3:10-11) All this political stuff isn't worth a hill of beans to the cause of Christ, because you can't force people to have faith. Give this up, go home to your own states and do what you've been commanded to do: teach others about the Savior I hope you take joy in. Let Him take care of the rest.
