I was looking through some of my books that got boxed during spring cleaning and realized there are many I never finished reading. I was particularly drawn to When God Writes Your Love Story by Eric and Leslie Ludy. I felt really bad about never having finished it, so I started reading it over from the beginning.

I know now why I didn't finish it. I needed to go back to it right now.

This book is not about rules or relationship how-to's. It's not about a comprehensive guide to experiencing the singles scene.

Rather, this book is all about an invitation to you. The One who knows you better than you know yourself, and who loves you more than you can comprehend, want to take you on a journey.

This journey is for anyone who is searching for the beauty of true and lasting love, for romance in its purest form, and who is willing to do whatever it takes in order to find it. This journey is for anyone who has made mistakes, whether small or big, and said, "It's too late for me to discover that kind of love." It's a journey for anyone who is tired of the same old scene of physically intense relationships, devoid of meaning and purpose.

This journey is for anyone who will dare to dream beyond the cheap and diluted romance our culture offers and hold out for an infinitely better way. This journey is even for the skeptic, who doubts that such a way exists.

No matter where you are or where you have been, this invitation is for you. The very One who is the Author of all true love and romance is standing before you, asking you gently, Will you let Me write your love story?

I honestly thought I had handed it over to God sometime last year...but I know now that's not true. It was easy enough to believe I had...but then my feelings for a friend started to deepen. I've been begging God to take away the feelings I have for him, but He hasn't (see Thursday's entry). I'm not saying I think this guy is my husband, cause honestly, right now, I'm the skeptic up there who can't imagine herself having a lasting relationship. All I know is that one purpose for these feelings (and possibly the only purpose) could be to bring me out of the "God, I give up on romance" state and into the "whatever blessings You have for me" state.

*sigh*

Prayer greatly needed, and appreciated.

That sounds like a really interesting book...
Well...coming from someone who's a little too headstrong to do something like that..hehe. *blush*
