It's late...as always
Aug. 27th, 2005 02:39 amSo I'm up at two something, having forgot to turn on the TV to see what nonsense will come out of Pat Robertson's mount this time, and decided to update. With what, I'm not sure, but let's see how it goes, shall we?
I am now officially RP crazy. No more, I say, no more. I'm not sure if I could handle taking on another one, even thought they're fun. My list of characters:
OOC! (out of character/total opposite of) Ed (
canine_prodigy) in
omg_thelionking
OOC! Cyborg (
surfin_cy) in
omg_teentitans
Starfire of Teen Titans (starfiresflame) in integrity_rp
Kim Possible (redhead_heroine) in integrity_rp
Pocahontas (wild_mt_stream) in integrity_rp
On a more serious note, God is once again bringing me back to The Lion King, to what Mufasa said: "Remember who you are." This as been His "theme" for me this year. And it's funny how Bray's talk last night ties in with all this. He said, "We are Christ, we are the Body of Christ." This is going to sound totally heretical to some of you, but the words "we are Christ" stuck out at me. Not to say we are never wrong, of course. We are the Body and He is the Head. But "we are Christ." You aren't what you think you are...I'm not what I think I am. If God looks at the heart, and Jesus resides there because I have been born again, Christ is what He sees when He looks at me. I am Christ to Him. That just totally blows me away and brings me to tears. Just think about how different we would be if we took hold and believed that. We wouldn't make agreements with the Enemy about how we are filth, not worthy of God's love, can never break free of our anger/pride/addictions/etc., that it's just part of us and we have to live with it.
We've got to start separating our identities from our flesh! The thought "I am such a loser," doesn't come from God, and if the Spirit lives within you, it didn't come from you. That only leaves one other influence in my mind, and that is the Enemy. Spiritual warfare is either given too much attention, or not enough, though I think most churches lean toward the latter. He is there, guys, trust me, I used to work with some of his colleagues.
So, in closing, just a few things. Remember who you are. Remember you have an Enemy. But most of all, remember Who your God is. Remember that He is more powerful that you could every imagine. Remember that He lives in you.
"You have forgotten who you are and so forgotten me. Look inside yourself...You are more than what you have become...Remember who you are. You are my son..."
