sleepy but not asleep

Have you ever awaken from a nightmare, knowing it wasn't really, telling yourself it wasn't real over and over...only to still be so scared you didn't want to sleep again?

Just did. Creepiest thing is Jonathan Frakes was in it. Most know him from Star Trek: The Next Generation, but I also know him from Beyond Belief. For all I know that's where I got this Clayface-like guy who goes around turning people to clay and sucking the moisture out of them. It was even in a sort of Beyond Belief format, only in the end Jonathan Frakes turns out to be the hydrothief. It was so creepy.

I swear I will turn this into a story of some kind.

yes. and not only that, I have often forced myslef awake because a dream was so disturbing I and to make sure it wasn't real.
