more Thursday night
Feb. 7th, 2008 11:01 pmNormally, I'd be writing about the just aired episode of Smallville, but I actually need some more time to think this one over. And maybe download it from somewhere. Unfortunately, I don't have DVR. All I can say right now is I actually enjoyed this episode. Yeah, still think Clana should be over, but at least I'm not angry right now.
Anyway, will comment on Smallville later. Right now...Supernatural.
Sam has interesting dreams. Freakin' hilarious dreams. And interesting that Dean's the one dreaming of the wife and kid. Those boys are so backward.
Demon!Dean...he's freakin' disturbing. I mean, I don't take to the current Dean too much, but the demon...and my theology is screaming, "Duh, demon." Real demons surely aren't very nice. I tell ya, this humans turning into demons thing takes all the steam out of the great "you're just like us" speech in The Magnificent Seven, at least for me. I loved that. Whoever wrote that is brilliant. A real demon would think like that. When I think about it, it's actually kind of scary that a human being could see it so clearly from a demonic point of view. The Magnificent Seven is one of those moments that I think fiction speaks so much more clearly than any text book could. I think it's why Jesus taught in parables. The truth of fiction isn't perceived with logic that deals in rules and regulation, but with the heart.
"You can't escape me!" Those are the words ringing in my head. It reminds me...I've got my own demons to fight.
