just three words

It's amazing how three words can totally blow me away.

"Everybody loves you."

Logic tells me that's true, at least considering the "everybody" refers to my friends from church/BCM. But a lot of good logic does when my emotion says the opposite.

I feel alien. I feel painfully different from everyone.

I know people love me...so why do I still feel so alone?

Oh, if I had a dollar for all the times I've thought that.

It also doesn't help when I feel self-conscious all the time. Like how it's better not to care what other's think so much and yet you wish you could know what they think of you.

being lonely

You feel lonely because we all have an ache in our heart that longs for heaven. We were not created to want the world, but we were created for heavenly things, to dwell with Jesus. We all feel lonely even when we know Christ and have the holy spirit. That is how we hope and have faith. Shane and Shane catch this concept in a song on there c.d. Upstairs it's track three. There is also a story that I read about a little boy that died from cancer and how he writes his mother this letter with invisible ink that only she can read. At the end of the letter he tells her that he has to go and get ready because he is feasting with Jesus that night. How amazing it is that one day we will feast at the table of Jesus. For this one moment I will ache on earth and hope for the life to come. As Paul says to live is Christ and to die is gain... in spanish "Paul dice vivir a Christ y morir a ganaria"
