Sep. 22nd, 2005 01:38 amI'm stressed out like whoa. I need to write some poetry, or draw, or something. Maybe I'll read some Psalms from the New American Standard Bible I checked out from the library today. I like it sooo much better than the NIV. I actually hugged it.
If I hugged the Bible, and Jesus in the Word in the flesh, does that mean I hugged God?

Date: 2005-09-22 06:45 am (UTC)A big NASB killer for me was it's inspecific description of the creation. How it says 'There was morning and evening ... one day' then later in the New Testament, makes it sound just the same as 'to the Lord, a thousand years is as one day and one day as a thousand years'... evolutionist quote the NASB on that a lot.
But hey, awesome that you like it a lot =)
NIV and NKJV are my personal faves.

Date: 2005-09-22 04:39 pm (UTC)Hug a Bible!! I do that too ... sometimes. XD
lol, I dunno about hugging a bible = hugging God.
But reading it and doing and applying what is says
with joy in your heart is pretty much
hugging God ... yeah.
And the cool part is you feel God hug back. ^______^
