It's been about a month, give or take, since I last posted, so I thought I'd break the silence and say something.
I'm loving church right now. They have a really awesome guy teaching the college Sunday school class. That class needs a good teacher, because college, as far as ministry goes, is a big black hole. It goes from all the attention from children and youth to almost squat. At least until you're married. Or if you never marry, until you're really old. I'm very happy that this guy is teaching the college now. If anything, he keeps people awake.
On a much less religious note, I'm getting back into roleplaying, the narrative kind, at Spirits of the Earth. I haven't written in sooo long, and it feels good. I have a romantic plot starting up, based on possibly my favorite animated Disney film, The Little Mermaid. The prince and the mermaid haven't met yet, though. We're trying to figure out how they'll met, since it would be dumb and boring to mirror the movie (or the book, for that matter) exactly. I'll eventually play some other characters, and am creating alternate versions of my Teen Titans characters to fit in that world. The most fun will probably be reworking Apollo. Not going into details about him, but he'll be causing trouble in the anti-magic kingdom, since his mother and some of his siblings are magical. He will be a thief much like Robin Hood, only he will steal from the nobles and give to the mages! ^^
There's also a sci-fi spin-off from that called Remnants of the Earth. I might join there too, because I love sci-fi. The only thing that makes me nervous is I've never RPed sci-fi. I'm sure I'll come up with something, though. It really looks like fun.
The good thing about both of these is I don't have to keep all my characters active all at once, just as long as I'm active. And I don't even have to be active In Character! I just reply whenever there's an activity check, and I stay! Yay!
If anybody thinks it sounds like fun, I'm wildhope on the Spirits of the Earth site, and will probably be the same if I ever join the other one. If anybody joins, send me a pm!
