I have removed two friends from my list. One because the journal was deleted, one for reasons of my own sinful nature. To the latter party, who will remain unnamed, I am truly sorry if I offended you. I would have liked to continue to read your journal, but I have a tendency toward lust, and some of your icons were just too much for me. I don't look down on you at all, or condemn you in any way. I just prefer not to even tempt myself in that direction, in order to avoid hurting the God I love.

Well, anyway...I may cut a few more friends, just because they don't update or I don't read. We'll see.

Spent most of my Christmas money from Ma and Pa (mom's parents) at Christian Supply, owned by my former Bible Study teacher Chuck. I spent about two hours there, trying to pick things out. Honestly, I didn't want to get much for myself, but I knew if I spent a lot on other people, the women in my family would be upset. For some odd reason, they assume giving people gifts isn't fulfilling enough to spend your own gift money on. "You should spend it on what you want," they say. Well, I want to get my friends gifts! Well...anyway, I got cards for some good friends here. If you want an e-card, just tell me and I'll send you one.

I also got The Light Speed Bible. Yeah, I'm gonna speed-read the Bible, guys. At first the idea bothered me, but as many times as I've tried to read through the Bible with no success, I figured it's worth a try. Besides, I can always go back and reread stuff I don't understand or want to study further. The point is to get a basic understanding of the Bible as a whole which I don't have now. I will really help, especially since there is such a tendency for people to base their theology on certain passages while overlooking others that could provide clarification. Gotta take Scripture in context of the whole of Scripture.

Other books I got: The Case For Christmas by Lee Strobel, The Love Languages of God by Gary Chapman and Velvet Elvis by Rob Bell.

Well...I'm gonna go speed-read...some part of the Bible. Probably something in the Old Testament I haven't been able to get through. Later.
