The foremost thing on my mind is a conversation I just had with my friend Jonathan. Please pray for him, as he's going through something difficult right now. I have a heavy heart for him right now, so I will probably be praying as long as I am still awake. So, although I'm sure he needs all the pray he can get right now...pray that I'll get some sleep, too.

Aside from that, there are so many other things on my mind, and I'm not sure if I will be able to express it all clearly. May God help me.

Come, all you who are thirsty, come to the waters; and you who have no money, come, buy and eat! Come, buy wine and milk without money and without cost. Why spend money on what is not bread, and your labor on what does not satisfy? Listen, listen to me, and eat what is good, and your soul will delight in the riches of fare. -- Isaiah 55:1-2

You read right. I'm listening to Hanson's Middle of Nowhere album. If you don't like it...get over it. They were my fave when I was thirteen and a few years after that. They were the first non-country artists I liked, which in turn opened me up to all kinds of other music.

I was going to listen to This Time Around, but the computer keeps spitting it out. Maybe the DVD player will play it. I really wish I would have bought Three Car Garage way back when, but I spent my money to buy it for my best friend at the time instead. She loved them much more than I ever did. Anyway, my fave song by Hanson is on that album, Surely As The Sun. I really wish I could hear that right now.

Anyway, that's all for now. I'm sure I'll have something to say later.

Note to self: see Star Wars Episode III: Revenge of the Sith if it kills you.

I love reading Beth Moore's writing, almost as much as I love hearing her speak.

Here is an excerpt from her book, Breaking Free.

In Matthew 14:25-32 in the midst of a storm, Jesus came walking on the water. To His terrified disciples, He said: "Take courage! It is I. Don't be afraid" (v.27), but the storm continued to rage until he got into the boat. The point is not that we have nothing to fear but that His presence is the basis for our courage. Christ did not say, "Take courage! I am calming the storm. Don't be afraid." Instead, with the winds still raging, He said, "Take courage! It is I. Don't be afraid."

Christ does not always immediately calm the storm, but He is always willing to calm His child on the basis of His presence. "Don't worry! I know the winds are raging and the waves are high, but I am God over both. If I let them continue to swell, it's because I want you to see Me walk on water."
