i don't know whether being the oracle made him a new man but i do believe his prophecies are true. I think he's scared of whats going to happen, whether he was scared straight is another matter

I recall him saying something like that, so I put that little bit in there.

I think he does care about Clark, but his views are so twisted that he did think he was helping Clark by putting him in that cage.

So true. Lionel putting Clark in the cage kind of reminded me of when Jor-El froze him in the big block of ice.

I totally agree with you :D

I have to agree with you too. When the spoiler that it was Lionel who had Clark thrown in a Kryptonite cage surfaced, a lot of people were saying, "OMG! The Magnificent Bastard is back!" But I have a feeling that, while imprisoning Clark was seriously f'ed up, it's not the return of the MB. He's long gone.

I'd just say, yes, but not completely.

I believe in Lionel. And feel sorry for him, that no one believes that he has changed. I understand that people will not give him a chance. But they should at least let him give reasoning, or let them know what he knows.

I ADDED YOU

Saw your post on the smallville community, and checked out your journal. It's cool. I added you.

It made him a new enough man to want to sacrifice himself for Martha, when they were drowning in the trap a long time ago, and to want to help Clark, but...

Not enough to cease his mind-fucking Lex (Clark is a better son than you, etc), nor put him above using Clark in order to get his hands on incriminating evidence to keep himself out of harm' way with the law.

So, Lionel is a hybrid.
